Stories With Aunt Barbara
Aunt Barbara told us a special story called "The Light on Their Faces." A boy named Edward had a little brother named William who was very sick and they though he was going to die, but a doctor came to them at night. The doctor examined William, gave him some medicine and told his parents he would get well. His parents faces lighted up with Joy. Edward decided that he wanted to be a docotor, so he could bring joy to hurting people. He studied hard at medical school and even when things got hard he didn't give up. Later Edward Carl Roseman became a great bacteriologist and helped many many people.

God's Garden Snacks! Mmmmmmm
Today Mrs. Corder helped us make our own edible candles. We used a piece of pinapple for the base, a banana for the candle stick and some slivers of carrots for the flame. We made candles to remind us to be a light in the world.

God's Garden Crafts
Mrs. Tasha had a really fun craft for us today, we got to make suncatchers. We got to choose from several suncatacher designs and then we put on our aprins and painted them. The suncatcher can catch light and turn it into beautiful colors. We can catch Jesus light and share it with everyone.

The Nature Nugget
Mr. John told us about the sun, which is 93,000,000 miles away and 10,000 degrees. We learned how plants and our bodies use the sun to make nutrients and how we can catch the sun light with solar panels and make energy. Mr. John charged up an airplane with the solar panel. Mr. Grant flew the plane around for all of us to see. Then Mr. John talked about Jesus light and how we need to be a reflection of His light. He even gave us a LED flashlight to help us remember.
